I remember you wanted to go to a department store and I don’t remember how we got there I think it was by a bus but when we came out of the department store we stood there and you were holding my hand I must’ve been six or seven in Akron Ohio and you said I don’t feel good at all and I looked up and I said we shouldn’t get on the bus we should take a taxi home. And then we walked down the steps of the department store and stood at the curb and a taxi came up and we hopped in and went home.

Dad wrote a song for Mary Kay

Dad wrote a song for mom and he always sang it while we were growing up in the McKeighen household. It was called Miss Mary Kay. I know all the words since I heard it so much. Mom loves the song and would laugh when dad sang, now we have six kids and all are stubborn as that mule. Lol. Happy birthday mommy.
