Mary L. Pacesa, age 88, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 27, 2021, in West Deptford, NJ. On February 4, 1933, she was born to William and Margaret Maguire in Ohio. She graduated from Belleville High School in 1951. On October 18, 1958, she married Anthony J. Pacesa in St. Peter’s Church, located in Belleville, New Jersey. Mary lived life through simple pleasures of reading, listening to talk radio, chatting, and laughing with friends and family. She is survived by her Daughter Cynthia Pacesa Boettger, Son Anthony J. Pacesa Jr., Grand-daughter Catherine Boettger, and Son-in-Law John T. Boettger.
Mary was very interested in health and nutrition and was an avid reader on these subjects. She worked in the health food industry for many years. Her boss said no when she asked for a $10 a week raise. Knowing the value of her experience and knowledge, Mary quit her job and opened her store. Mary was a successful businesswoman in the 1980’s running her health food store. In the early 1990’s Mary sold her business and moved to South Jersey. Mary was a long-time member of the Holy Name of Jesus Parish now the Catholic Community of the Holy Spirit Parish in Mullica Hill, NJ.
Mary will be laid to rest with her husband Anthony J. Pacesa Sr. at the Interment Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
