Her Life

Mrs. Lampkin, was born November 14,1932, in Tallapoosa
County, Alabama to the late Nehemiah (Jack) Stroud and Ethel
Stroud Doss.
She united with the New Hope Baptist Church at an early age
and served faithfully until she moved to Newark, New Jersey.
She returned back home in April, 2013.
She departed this life on January 15,2016 at Brown Nursing
Home in Alexander City, Alabama.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Lampkin;
one sister, Clarene Benson and one brother, Raymond Stroud.
She leaves to cherish her memories, three children: two
daughters, Valerie Lampkin, Houston, TX and Annette
Lampkin, Newark, NJ; and one son, John Hart, Jr., Newark,
NJ; one sister, Dorothy Veasley of Camp Hill, AL; two aunts:
Corene Ellison, Camp Hill, AL and Lela Melone, Milwaukee;
one uncle: John (Queen Ester) Pulliam, Jr. Maryland; three
grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two nieces: Shirley
(Scotty) Stowes of Opelika, AI- and Denise Barrett of
Milwaukee; one nephew, Michael Veasley of Camp Hill, AL;
three special friends; Leon Ferrell, Dadeville, AL; Bessie
Leftenant, Newark, NJ and Eula Smith (Brown Nursing Home)
and a host of great nieces and nephews and other relatives and
friends.
