Mama,

 When I heard you had a stroke, I was scared but had hopes because you were a woman of faith. Little did I know you were going to leave so soon. However mama, you fought a good fight, finished your race and kept your faith (good Job).Mama I remember our days in Babungo and you telling me to be Patient.

I remember the chats and confides and tears and laughter, the songs we sang and especially this one, “Be not dismayed what’er betide, God will take care of you”. And he has surely been merciful to us mama. I remember your famous saying” When the going is tough the tough gets going”. You’ve not only been tough mama, you were very focused ,courageous and a committed child of God who found delight in giving, gifts to all who stopped by your store especially on market days. I remember your supportive, kind and soft spoken words to me. “ Nayouh you are a good woman”.

Thank you mom. I remember sitting beside you when your sister in Njinikom passed away and you were telling me, you are fine but for your legs. I remembered how you served me food and took the pains of getting an additional two pieces of chicken and added to my plate. You were very caring as usual. Thank you. I remember that same day your biding me fare – well.  You emphatically told me to remain steadfast and faithful as if you knew mama that I was not going to see you again. Yes mama, I miss you physically but spiritually you live in me and will be remembered every day. God has already flown you over on Eagles wings and has granted you your deserved rest in peace.

Just like from Gen-Rev , so is human race ,from Birth to Death. All I have left is your pic and a frame that's on ma wall all day round the clock for me to see your lovely face again and to remain with your sweet loving MEMs. Life is a wander, why are we born in the first place if this is how we have to Go, without saying Goodbye. Come to think of it, God’s wish is always our Command but for sure, I know she wines and dines with you in Your Glory till when we meet again. Ma

I shall remain behind to be a good boy for you and I hope you also intercede on my behalf with God almighty 'cause you are hard to find ,just like rain drops from ma eyes and like tear drops from the sky hope you go with that too right !!I shall always have the first verse you chose for me Gen 1:1 and  I think God knows why you are called home to rest. I know you for a Mother and a Grandmum . Thats why I know I will definitely miss you granny R-I-P-P

OH grand mom.How I used to enjoy your wonderful stories and advice. How you use to prepare us food when we were back from School regardless of sick legs. How friendly you were to people of all denominations and now we are missing you in our midst. Your company and all the funny stories you always told me how I am your legs and how you used to send me to represent you in different places. How we used to sit in the kitchen the two of us and chat. You were the best grand mom in the whole wide world and how you went to my school just to pay my school fees.

You were caring to me .Big mami(ma JM) as we use to call you .We are going to miss ou and we know that you are resting in the bossom of the Lord-May the almighty grant you eternal rest.
