Mrs. Mary Pullins died September 7, 2011.

Mary L. Pullins was born in Alexander City, Alabama on June 26,1934 to Otis and Ezella Lurns .

She moved to Chicago as a young adult and raised her family there. After retirement, she moved
back to Alabama to take care of her ailing mother.

Mary was very outspoken, but would help anyone with a true need. She loved her plants and being
outside in her yard. She was a hard worker who helped her children and you always knew where
you stood with her, When you were around Mary, you were guaranteed the truth even if it hurt, She
was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses and was a member of the Dadeville Congregation.

She was preceded in death by H. Charles Lurns of Washington D. C., Ola Tate of Anniston,
Alabama. and a son, Larry of Dadeville, Alabama. She was the second born of six children,
She is survived a daughter Patricia of South Holland, lllinois. Two brothers: Jimmie (Dorothy)
Lurns of Cleveland, Ohio and Douglas (Brenda) Lurns of Alexander City, Alabama. One sister,
Gertrude Lurns of Cleveland, Ohio. One daughter-in-law Jeannie Lurns of Dadeville, AL.
She had a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mary was a true fighter. She was someone who always spoke her mind and I loved her for it. I'll miss hearing her words of wisdom. May the comfort of knowing that she's no longer suffering bring comfort to your hearts. (Rev. 21:3,4)

When I read the Friday Outlook, my heart was saddened by the loss of Ms. Mary. I met her when she first come to dialysis and we spent so much time together and I loved to encourage her and help her along with her dialysis My life was made better by knowing Ms. Mary, and Sheila gave Ms. Mary her grey hat since she could not get to all of h
