Mary Williamson Ramsey, 87, a longtime resident of Granville County passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at her home.

A native of Granville County, the widow of Woodrow Wilson Ramsey, Sr. and the daughter of the late Beverly Thomas and Jenny Newton Williamson. She was a member of Stovall Baptist Church and a homemaker.

Funeral Services will be conducted 2:00 PM, Thursday, October 4, 2012 in the Eakes Funeral Chapel in Oxford by Rev. Eddie Mauldin and Rev. Jay Causey.  Burial will be in Meadowview Memorial Park in Oxford.

Surviving are her children, Shirley R. Jackson (Jimmy) of Stem, Walter Harold Ramsey, Ulysses “Teddy” Puckett Ramsey, Sr., Ruby Mae Ramsey Riley (Terry), Calvin Douglas Ramsey, Eugene Dennis Ramsey, William “Buck” Hammitt Ramsey (Dale), all of Stovall, twenty- three grandchildren, thirty-seven great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Carol “Pudding” Smith, three sons, James Thomas Ramsey Sr., Wayne Thomas Ramsey, Woodrow Wilson Ramsey Jr. and two grandchildren, Ulysses Puckett Ramsey Jr. “BoBo” and Douglas Calvin Ramsey ”Bug”.

Visitation 7:00-8:30 PM Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at the Eakes Funeral Home in Oxford and at other times at the home.
