Her Life
October 14, 2013

Mrs. Ingram was born in Donalsonville, Georgia on October 30, 1923, the daughter of the late Sam Jones Drake and Beulah Barber Drake. She was a faithful member of the Gray Hill Church of God. For all of Mrs. Ingram’s adult life she served alongside her beloved husband, Reverend George Ingram in his ministry. Her loving attitude and wonderful care that she offered to all his parishioners added much to the lives of those she served. Mrs. Mary was also a wonderful mother. She loved nothing more that caring for her three children and providing wonderful meals for them. She was famous for her delicious tea cakes that were a favorite among all the grandchildren. She also loved sewing and quilting in her spare time. Her wonderful spirit, which she shared with all who knew her, will long be remembered.

She is survived by two daughters, Martha and Tommy Yarbrough of Ephesus, GA., and Melva Ingram of Morrow, GA.; one son, David and Joan Ingram of Jackson, GA.; two sisters, Wilmoth Thomas of Conyers, GA., and Susie Gardner of Donalsonville, GA.; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
