The creative process

June 1, 2011

The Roberts' house always had a lot of projects underway. Cars were being repaired, rebuilt, painted and sold while I was dating John. Whether it was George or John, mary took the chaos of creation without missing a beat.  John and I hadn't been dating long before John bought a 1957 Mercedes 190SL. In short order, we had the car taken apart an stored in the basement. As John worked on the car , winter came.  Mary smiled s we winterized the carport , so we could continue on our mission.

Mary allowed work to evolve, recognizing that somethings just take time to get fixed or restored.  Many years later when I too had two boys, I was reminded as projects got spread out throughout the house that it is important to give everyone the gift of time.... even if it does make the house look a little chaotic at times.

I will miss you Mary  patty
