A TIME TO BE BORN
Ms. Mary Will “May Will” Trammell was born on September
25, 1933 in Chambers County, AL to the late Louise Trammell
and the Zack Allen, Sr. Her late great-grandfather, Newton
Trammell, helped to raise her. She moved to West Point, GA
early in life. May Will was preceded in death by her aunt, Rachel Posey, stepmother, Bonnie Ceal Allen, and three
siblings, Zack, Jr., Jimmy Allen, and Ann Pullian.

A TIME TO DIE
After going through a lengthy illness, in which she never
complained, Mary Will entered into eternal rest on
Monday, December 1, 2014 at her residence.

A TIME TO LEARN AND WORK
Mary Will began her education in Chambers County, AL.
She transferred to Tenth St. School in the 6th grade. She
then went on to graduate from Tenth Street High School
in 1952, as class salutatorian. Education was very
important to her. Mary insisted that her children excel
in learning. All received degrees at the post-secondary
level. Mary retired from West Point Pepperell with more
than 25 years of service.

A TIME TO WORSHIP
Mary accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at a very
early age. She was a dedicated and faithful member of
Emanuel Chapel C.M.E. Church in West Point, GA for over
70 years. She served in the following positions up to the
time of her death: Missionary President, Usher President,
Stewardess, Secretary of the Sunday school, and other
positions throughout the years. May Will was very spiritual.
She loved GOD and taught her family to love GOD. She
Prayed for us when we didn’t pray for ourselves. She lived by
the first commandment, which is to love others.

A TIME TO SERVE
Mary was a member of the West Point Civic League
and the West Point Senior Center. To those not in her
family, Mary Will was a sweet, gentle, caring, loving, helpful, vivacious, and intelligent person that never met a stranger. But to her children, grandchildren and family members, she was all of the above and much more. She was very nurturing, supportive, encouraging, forgiving, giving and always sacrificing for others. May Will was an avid reader. She loved traveling, growing flowers, cooking and had an active social life.

LaGrange, GA; grandchildren, William (Tonya) Traylor, Jr., Shemeka Trammell, Corey (Toya) Traylor, Christopher (Monica) Traylor Jocelyn Yarborough, Byron Cuthbert, and Camaryn Trammell; great grandchildren, Alexys Trammell, Syia and Katlien Gipson, Catori, William III, David, Daniel Traylor, and Christin Garner; sisters, Ruby Jackson, Newnan, GA; Frances (Sylvester) Hayine, Tappahamock, VA; Annette Barnhill, Hyde Park, MA; Gladys (Haywood) McCullough, Union City, GA; one aunt, Mattie Trammell, Los Angeles, CA; cousin, like a brother, Joe Louis Trammell; friend, like a sister, Louise Summers and a host of other relatives and friends.
