Her Life

Mary Frances Valdes was born in Flora, Mississippi on September 13, 1941. She passed away at her home on December 9, 2010 at the age of 69. At the time of her death, she lived at home with her two sons Lewis A. Valdes, Jr. and Michael A. Valdes in Memphis, TN, where they have been living for the past 10 years.  

Mary was a graduate of Kilmichael High School in MS and a member of Wells Station Baptist Church. She was a CNA for many years living her passion of helping people. Her biggest joys in life were her family and friends. She was a dedicated Christian woman who loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and is now in His presence. She loved reading her Bible everyday and enjoyed listening to those old time gospel songs. Her favorite gospel artists included: Elvis Presley, The Blackwood Brothers, The Gather’s, and many of her church worship songs. Some of her favorite gospel songs were “Amazing Grace”, Farther Along”, “In The Garden”, “Victory in Jesus”, “Take My Hand, Precious Lord”, and “Let Me Be There”.

Her funeral services were held at Memorial Park Funeral Home & Cemetery on Sunday, December 12, 2010 at 2:30p.m. She is buried in the Holly Hill section at Memorial Park.
