Dear Friend,
You have touched so many lives with your kind and loving heart. You had awakened mine. I felt that I had lost contact with many of my friends and was feeling so guarded and alone and who would have thought that meeting you would have changed my life in so many ways and that I would find my best friend....I love and Miss you so much.

Missing my Best Friend

January 14, 2012

I met Mary while waiting in a line at the church food bank. I would have never in my wildest dreams , have figured that I would be meeting my best friend. I have so many fond memories of our times together. She had a way of making me feel better when I was ready to give up and give in. I have a son with ADHD and ODD (Oppositiona Defiant Disorder) and it takes everything to keep my sanity but when Mary seen that I was so frustrated and at the end of my rope, it was her patience, advice, and wisdom that kept me grounded. She was my rock! I was so shocked and surprised at her passing....I somehow felt abandoned once again...I know that it was not her fault and that God needed her more, but so did I...who was I to turn to ? We had so many fun times together. I remember the many talks we had and the fun times we had over my house. She helped me with my son and husband and when my Niece visited and we had problems, she stepped in to help as well. We had so many things in common. I remember right before Christmas she and I went to the place we called "the FREE PLACE" and fought over Beanie Babies for the kids, Nicholas and Theresa ~~She won! We had so much fun that day! We were doing what we liked best, shopping and spoiling our kids!  I am so glad we got to hang out alot before her passing. We went to lunch while the kids were in school and we just sat and talked. We attended a Christmas BBQ and had a great time. I loved hearing about her Native American heritage and learned so much from her. My son is Native American as well. His ancestors were part of the Iriquois tribe. I often asked her how to teach Nicholas to embrace his Native American heritage.  I will truely miss this remarkable woman that was taken to soon. I love you Mary, Rest in peace, my dearest friend. I will miss you terribly.
