Mary Willard Ayscue, 89, a longtime resident of Creedmoor passed away Sunday, August 2, 2015 at Duke Regional Hospital in Durham.

A native of Moore County, she was the daughter of the late Will Willard and Maggie Brown. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and was owner and operator of several convenience stores in the Granville County area.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 5, 2015 in the Eakes Funeral Home Chapel in Creedmoor by the Rev. Willis Herman. Burial will be in Creedmoor Cemetery.

Surviving are her son, Timmy Allen Mangum of Oxford, a daughter, Margaret M. Oakley of Stem, a brother, Reid Willard of Aberdeen, eight grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and nine great-great children. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Katie Mae Bullock, four brothers, Belmer, Albert, Richard and Bobby Willard, two sisters; Jessie W. Bennett and Maybelle W. Benton and husbands Allie Lee “CAT” Mangum and Pete Ayscue.

Visitation will be held Tuesday evening August 4, 2015 from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor and at other times the home of Tammy Oakley.
