Matthew Lee Moncrief left this world to be with our Heavenly Father just a few short weeks ago at the young age of 28. Matt leaves behind a legacy of dedicated love to his family and friends. His infectious smile, sense of humor and a heart bigger than the state of Texas are just a small part of who he was. Matt lived every day to the fullest and loved spending time with his brothers and sisters. He also treasured his nieces and nephews and we all know he would have made an awesome father. Matt was attending an art institute and recently shared with his father how excited he was at the prospect of a future in the media arts. He also had a great passion for music. Matt is survived by his fiance' Kate Harral, his father David Moncrief, mother Debbie Miller, brothers Jonathan Moncrief, Randall Moncrief, Mark Moncrief, and Daniel Moncrief. And two sisters, Jessica Moncrief, and Christine Moncrief, as well as  step mom Deborah Forrest, and sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews.  Matt also left behind a wealth of friends and a community who watched him grow up and loved him as well. May Matt's untimely passing help us to remember that our time in this life is short, and to love each other and never take life for granted. Matt was a special person who was dearly loved and will be forever in the hearts and minds of those who were fortunate enough to have known him. He will be forever missed.
