Matthew Love, 21, of Cheyenne, Wyoming., entered into rest Sunday, June. 09, 2019.  

Funeral services for Matthew will be Saturday, June. 15, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at CHI Health Center Omaha Arena and will be broadcasted live on the Union Pacific Facebook Page and UP Steam Facebook Page. Interment will follow services in the Calvary Cemetery in Fremont as a private family and select friends burial following services at 2:30 p.m., Visitation will be Friday, June. 14, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. In the Junior Ballroom at CHI Health Center Omaha. (Event Pass Required)

Matthew spent the largest part of his life in the Cheyenne area but he attended school and went to High School at Blair Senior High School In Blair, NE. He was a member of the Union Pacific and Chicago And Northwestern Historical societies. Matthew proudly participated in the Bush funeral train. He also played numerous sports for years In the Blair and Cheyenne areas. Ending his last few years completing what is called the largest machine restoration ever of the Big Boy No. 4014 and successfully operating it to Ogden, Utah on May 4th to May 9, 2019.

Matthew’s friends spanned a twenty three state area, as it seemed like everyone he met on Steam trips ended up as a new friend. Matthew was truly loved by everyone he met and always had a smile on his face and loved to help and make people happy. Matthew was full of life, fearless, and prided himself on working hard. Yet he did not deny fear. Matthew loved spending time at work and spending time with close friends when it was possible and really just enjoying life to the fullest. Matt was also the kind of worker that would go to work and assign hard tasks to himself because it needed to be done and he always could do it and get it done right.

Matthew is survived by his work team from Cheyenne and select few close friends within a tristate area.

Matthew will always be remembered for his outgoing personality and constant ability to help make others lives meaningful and just making people happy. May his soul rest forever in enteral peace and May we see him again someday.- Crew and Friends.
