Mrs. Mattie L. Taylor, the daughter of the late Evan Hollis and Corine Dawson Hollis Girden, was born March 26, 1942 in Troup County, GA.  Mattie answered our heavenly Father’s call on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at West Georgia Health System, LaGrange, GA.

Mattie accepted Christ and united with the St. John Baptist Church, Lanett, AL, where she served on the Usher Board. Mattie was an Easter Star.

“Mattie Lou”, as she was known in the neighborhood, was product of the former Tenth Street School.
