Maurice Pryor Marshburn, 78, a resident of Oxford, died Monday, September 27, 2010 at Granville Medical Center.

 

A native of Harnett County, the son of the late Arthur and Lela Pryor Marshburn. He was a member of Advent Christian Church and retired from Marshburn Plant Farm.

 

Graveside services will be conducted at 3:30 PM Sunday, October 3rd 2010 at South Granville Memorial Gardens on Old Rt. 75 in Stem.

 

Surviving are his wife, Shirley Barbour Marshburn of Oxford, a daughter, Teresa M. Tart (Mike) of Timberlake, a son, Ricky Marshburn (Marsia) of Oxford, a brother Max Gray of Angier, three grandchildren, Jennifer Tart (Josh Taylor), Marcie Wood (Bryan), Christopher Tart and three great grandchildren.

 

Visitation will be held at the Eakes Funeral Home in Oxford Sunday, October 3rd from 1:30-3:00 PM and other times at the home.
