A Brother

June 15, 2020
I met Maurice through my husband Michael Irvin, they were childhood friends. He always showed me respect and love.  He lived with Mike and I for a year, and it wasn't easy, but it was definitely full of laughter and fun.  Mike and i would tell him slow down, you are doing way too much.  Seemed like Reese took on everyone's problems and he wanted to solve them.  He has such a big heart. He didn't want to hear that our problems, or anyone else problems and issues were not his. God seen your heart, Reese.
You always joked and said Mike kicked you out 7 times, and Mike would say "YES, and i will kick you out 7 more" , then  you would say,  "See, you do love me, and i love ya!" You guys were so silly together.  WE ARE getting that barber shop you and Mike Dreamed about, and we are going to call it Crazy Cutz. You said come up with something catchy, well there you go, its in memory of you , and i guess only "South Siders" or "BDC"  will know why, so Mike says.  Your name is about to become a FRANCHISE. "DREAM BIG or dont dream AT ALL" , RIGHT??
You are forever in our hearts and you are dearly missed already.  You got the rest you needed....GOD HAS YOU NOW, REST EASY my friend.

Reese looked up to me as a man/ big bra. I taught him all I could with what I had when he was around me and my boys we were older.  I haven't seen him in many years because of the Marine Corps and living in Hawaii though. I didn't know him as well in the later years as I did in the earlier years in Easton when he stayed close to me. This news hit me like a brick through a glass window. He was Funny, Jokester, Friend, little brother, Rapper, and Nobody's Punk. I will miss you young one. God has you now.
