Welcome to Megan's website.

Megan lived in many places and had a multitude of dear friends.  This website has been created to provide a space for friends and family to post their favorite memories and to allow an opportunity for personal completion. Click on the photo to the right to enlarge and see a full screen slide show of Megan's life as well as photos submitted representing the many gatherings that took place around the country.

The music button is the "sound" button at the top of the page.  Be sure and view the "Her life" and "Stories" tabs above. If you have a story that goes along with a particular photo, you can select it and then entertain us.  Individual photos and music selections can be viewed in the "Gallery" tab.

Thank you from the children of Megan.

Deep in my soul I hear us laughing, solving dilemmas, sharing loving stories of our 12 kids or theirs, or rushing off to sit a while over a HFS.
We'll remain two, in one shoe, and the grands will grow up never without our hot fudge sundae stories. Thank you my Friend, I love you.

To honor our love for Megan some of her Tupelo, Mississippi friends met at one of her favorite places for lunch on her birthday February 28th. We celebrated her life, took note of her gifts to each of us and gave thanks for the grace we received from knowing her. Pictures of the event have been posted with thanks to Ruth Jaeckel for the camera work.

Megan and I went to a lot of plays when she was here, and we always called each other every day. We would ask "who's driving today?" and we had so much fun. I missed her when she moved to Mississippi, but me and my daughter did see her once in Tupelo. She is still my best friend, because I put her name in my Millennium Bank e-mail!!

We shared many happy times together, especially as a result of our experiences with Youth Encounter and Marriage Encounter. I remember one time after Mass we went to breakfast at Polly's Pies and talked very deeply for SO long that we ended up having lunch too!! What a laugh we always had over that. My love and all God's blessings to all the family. Love and prayers, Phyllis

In 2009 as Megan and I, Ruth Jaeckel, waited for her surgeon to come to take her for the procedure that would extend her life, Megan assured both of us by saying aloud steadily, "I have an option and I'm opting for life."

I will miss Megan. Even though I did not know her for long; I learned a lot from her gentleness, her non-hesitency to encourage others, and her constant smile (even when she was not feeling so great herself) and she always joined in the group activities whether for a lively discussion or lunch or a movie...whatever. We lit a candle today and will never ever forget her.

Megan.. You always made me feel like part of your family. I loved all the vacations I was able to tag along on and enjoy your company and conversations. I will miss your beautiful smile and warm hugs. All the trials that your family has endured has not broken your spirit.. But made you stronger as a family. Thank you for your love and encouragement.

Best Grandma in the whole world - I love my tattooed grandma with all my heart. Miss her very much. Have so many good memories, but loved going to Desert Hot Springs to the place with all the hot pools. We floated around for hours just talking. I will always remember the warm fuzzy book. I love you Grandma!

I think the recent solar disturbances were cause by you passing by the sun. Thank you for the many gifts. You had many different roles in my life. I cherish them all. One Christmas you received a silver bell and put it on our tree. I told you I had lost one from my grandparents. You instantly gave it to me. Knowing you has made me a better man. You were radiant. Love you always.

Dear grandma,
Even though you are not on this earth - you are still in my heart. As these days pass without you - I will have to say they are rough but I'm being strong because I know that what you would want. You were always there to listen to me when I needed someone to talk to. I miss you so much. Have fun in heaven with no pain. I love you. Kim

snow storm

January 22, 2013

St Patrik's day NIGHT>. of 04.. Jo and Megan went to  Dillon for a 'sing along with a friend who was playing music.. looked outside at the snow going 'sideways'  a hurried  trip as could back to Jo's  house in Blue River..  Socked in for 2 days..but we certainly did not care.  lots of wood to burn, books to read.tea to drink, life to discuss.    . had to wait for the snow plows.. then took a ride to the North end of the county to LOOK at all of the snow.. People were stranded for days.everywhere. They  could not get out of  Summit County.  and yes, I miss this wonderful life we had there.

professional photography

Oh yes.. do note the signature on the photo. in antoher life, I professed to be a photographer. and did so succesfully for 15 years before moving to Breckenridge.
Oh my!! what a deal to get these women dressed in silk and pearls.. and in ''makeup''--- I insisted on the classic of Black and white.. oh my!!  perhaps I should take this art up again.. I for got what a grand feeling of accomplishment this can be.
'Capture the Moment"  for a lifetime of memories   how grateful I am to have had this opportunity..
