ForeverMissed

This memorial website was created in the memory of our loved one, Mehrnaz (Nazy) Vafaie, 64, born on June 9, 1947 and passed away on December 17, 2011. Nazy was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend, and colleague. We will remember and miss her always.

Please enjoy browsing the photo gallery or watch the video photo-montage with fun music. And please leave thoughts and stories and comments.

Remember her with a smile!

I am shocked and saddened to learn of Nazy's passing. Nazy and I worked together at Frito-Lay for three years. I kept in touch with Nazy over the years. Recently I have had a strong urge to connect with Nazy again. I didn't know it was to leave memorial note for my dear friend. Please light a candle for her on my behalf. Thanks, Margaret

Anniversary!

Shared by Aimee Vafaie on December 18, 2017

Hello, dear friends!

Six years have gone by since mom's passing. She’s still as vibrant and alive in our hearts and lives as ever. We tell her stories, live by her example, and strive to make her proud. She’s the anchor of our family, the best of us. We love you, mom!!!!!

Meanwhile, the (grand)kids are growing up fast! Will is 6 years old, in 2nd grade. Addie is 9 years old, in 4th grade. We live in Florida now, near the beach, and we are loving the laid back sun-and-sand lifestyle!! We dragged daddy (Foad) here with us, and he's determined to become a fisherman. Nathan is almost done with his emergency medicine residency in Houston, so he is exhausted but excited!

Stay in touch! We love you!

Happy Birthday!

Shared by Aimee Vafaie on June 10, 2012

Hello, dear friends!

Today was Nazy's birthday.  A day to celebrate the beautiful woman who graced this earth with her joyous presence!  It has been nearly 6 months since she left us, and it feels like only yesterday she was here baking amazing cakes and making us laugh.

We try to honor her request to remember her with a smile, though her absence has left a huge aching hole in our hearts and our lives.  Man, do we miss her!

Addie still talks about her Mina every day, and she is so good at focusing on happy thoughts.  We remember the songs mom sang to her and the fun toys they played with together.  And Addie is sure Mina is watching her from heaven-- that she was watching Addie's adorable ballet recital last week, and that she watched William take his first steps a few weeks ago.  Daddy, who is Will's absolute favorite person, jokes that Will walks like E.T.-- arms up, belly protruding, waddling gait.  We are having a lot of fun watching him grow up, and Addie is a wonderful big sister.  (I put a couple of pictures of them in the photo gallery on this site.)

Anyway, we just wanted to send you all our love and let you know your friendship is never forgotten.

Have a wonderful summer!

Love,

Aimee
