The cooking.

January 21, 2013
I can remember when she started cooking for us and wanted to be like mom since she worked nights at the school. Sharell was gone to college and Deninne was off to start her marriage and family. Meko tried to be The MOM. She thought she could cook. Meko would put any seasons on anything and thought it was the bomb. She had made dinner using her( white folks) seasoning and tried to make myself, Felicia and Nise eat it. Boy, she would get mad cause we would throw the food away when she left out. She would be so mad that she would be ready to fight. The older she got the better her food started to taste but she wouldn't stop using them white folks seasoning mixes. I love me some Meko and her white folks seasoning.

Nature Lover

January 20, 2013

Meko loved the outdoors, she especially loved the water be it a creek, pond, stream, lake, beach, or ocean! She would call me and say I'm at my favorite spot..just relaxing talking to God. She would tell me how beautiful, and peaceful it was. It was her me time..alone time..her time with the Lord, I still go to the duck pond Meko I know how you enjoyed it there. I enjoy it now too..thank you sista my best friend.

Last Dance

January 15, 2013

Thanksgiving 2011 we were home celebrating family, One night we decided Meko, her husband Barry, Brandon and I to go do a couples thing. We dressed up and headed out to Va Beach a nice dinner dance club. We laughed, ate, and truly enjoyed ourselves, Brandon not wanting to dance,  "my Meko" took my hand and led me to the dance floor. We smiled at each other as she twirled me around and then I spun her, We danced and danced holding hands. I treasure that memory I can see it now her dancing, smiling that beautiful smile! love you "my Meko!" I wished I'd known it would be awhile until we dance again.
