I've always known about you in the MJ Community through your steadfast MJ advocacy but didn't really get to know you until the last couple years through our "Thriller Challenge" and what a joy it has been! You were always so welcoming in each Stationhead party you DJ'd and made them so fun to attend. We could feel your love for not only Michael but for your entire MJ Family as you spun Michael's greatest hits and always added some J5 songs to remind us to never forget where it all began.
You've made a profound impact in my life during this short time, and I promise, we'll do what we set out to accomplish, this year, by getting Thriller to the #1 spot on the Billboard Charts.

My dear Mellie. I am still in shock knowing I will never see your smile again. I will never forget our first chats on Facebook. The MJ justice group was our daily contact. And that search for Justice made a connection between us. Thank you for all you did for the MJ community.
Then on Marty's show we shared so many stories, tears and laughters. And I will never forget all our trips to Vegas, our gatherings, dinners with other MJ friends. And setting up the roses. Hi, my name is Karene Freeman and I'm Melanie's older sister. To say that I'm devastated by the sudden lost of my sister is an understatement. Melanie was a light in all of our lives. She was always generous with her time and her love. She has left a void in our family as well as her friends' lives. With occurring mounting expenses surrounding her sudden departure, her family would appreciate all those who loved her to donate what they can to help defray costs. Melanie did that for countless other families in their time of need. So it would honor her and the way that she lived her life if you would assist the Freeman family.

Melanie Freeman dedicated over 14 years of her life as the founder and president of “The Michael Jackson Fans of New York”. Her untimely passing on January 20th, 2024, left a void in the MJ community that is impossible to fill. She made New York City a special place to live and celebrate Michael Jackson’s legacy through her meetups, activism, and causes that helped change Michael’s legacy for the better and inspired others to do the same. Her unmatched dedication will always be remembered. In this stream, we will celebrate Melanie and share stories of our encounters with her both in person and online. Melanie Freeman Obituary, Death Cause – Sadly, we must inform you that our dearly loved Melanie Freeman has passed away. Our hearts are filled with unfathomable grief and sorrow. For today, we take a moment to reflect on the life of a remarkable person whose influence touched the hearts of a great number of people. Melanie was more than just a supporter; she was a treasured member of our community, a guiding light whose presence enhanced our lives in ways that cannot be adequately expressed via words.
The trip that Melanie took with us was characterised by unflinching support and passion for the objective of the Foundation the entire time. The numerous ways in which she contributed to the accomplishment of our common objectives were evidence of her devotion and dedication. Because of her generosity, kindness, and passion for our cause, ripples of positive change were produced, and her memory will forever be entwined with the core of what we believe in and what we stand for.
The vibrant presence of Melanie at our final Thriller Night, which took place in 2022, is one of the memories that we hold dear and love fondly. The evening was a celebration of joy, unity, and common purpose; it was a night when Melanie’s vivacious energy illuminated the occasion. Due to the fact that her excitement and true love for the cause were so obvious, she became an indispensable member of the community that the foundation serves.
When it came to making a change in the world, Thriller Night was more than just an event; it was a gathering of people who shared similar values and beliefs. Melanie’s participation demonstrated her dedication to the principles that we all hold in common, and her departure will be keenly felt as we carry on with our mission without her physical presence. Melanie Freeman was more than simply a supporter; she was also a friend, someone others could confide in, and a source of motivation for those who were in her immediate vicinity.
Her influence was felt much beyond the confines of the projects that we were working on together; it stretched into the lives of the people she came into contact with. We find comfort in the memories we shared with Melanie and the impact she had on our community as we work through the pain that we are experiencing as a result of her passing.
