Melissa Ann Wright was born on July 22nd, 1979 in Geneva, Illinois to parents Walter and Judy Wright. At the age of three the family moved to Eastman, Wisconsin. Melissa started school at Seneca, Wisconsin and later went to Prairie du Chien graduating in 1997. After graduation Melissa went to Upper Iowa University graduating in 2003 with a degree in psychology and human services. Soon after Melissa studied mathematics at University of Wisconsin- Platteville graduating in 2009, teaching math at Wyalusing Academy in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin.
January of 2014 Melissa and daughter Morgan moved to Denver, Colorado to be closer to her mother Judy. Melissa was a math teacher for Cherry Creek Schools in Aurora until present. In 2020 Melissa studied at Concordia University to achieve her masters degree for education.
Melissa was chosen for the Golden Heart Award in 2021 from Cherry Creek Schools.
Melissa was a member of Bridgeway Church in Aurora, CO.
Melissa loved the Green Bay Packers ( Especially Aaron Rodgers ), Wisconsin Badgers, outdoors and nature, especially a beach and warm sunshine. She belonged to many groups including; Tennis, skiing, dancing, beach, camping, and the 40's gang. Every chance possible, Melissa loved to travel and meet new people.
Melissa joined her Dad, Grandparents, and loved ones in heaven May 28th, 2021. She is survived by her daughter Morgan/AJ, Mother Judy, Brothers; Kevin/Cheryl, Joe, and Jeff, Sisters; Sheryl, Angie/Andrea, Susan/Dwight, and Mykell, many aunts, uncles, niece's and nephews and a bunch of friends.
