ForeverMissed
This memorial website was created in memory of our loved one, Melissa Newell, 45 years old, born on July 27, 1975, and passed away on May 29, 2021. We will remember her forever.

On February 6, 1998, she married Bill Newell at the Missoula County Court House. She and Bill were baptized Jehovah’s Witnesses in September 1999. They lived in Missoula for 9 years, and often vacationed at Coeur d’Alene, ID. and Ocean Shores, WA. In March of 2007 they moved to Federal Way, WA., for a job change for Bill and Melissa’s love of the ocean and Lighthouses. In April 2014 they moved a final time to Dallas, TX so Bill could start a new job and provide for his family. Melissa did not like Texas, but she went because she loved her husband. Melissa was a kind soul with a big heart and always put her husband and children first. She loved being at home and taking care of her husband and children in their new home and when they had time to go to the Ocean. She really loved the Pacific Ocean because she said it had a comforting smell. She will be missed by many, but knowing she is in a better place now, and that we will see her again at the resurrection brings comfort to those who will always love her. She will remain in our hearts and will be remembered with love, and for giving us so many wonderful memories to carry and treasure in our hearts until then.

Melissa was preceded in death by her father Victor, brother Anthony and several aunts and uncles on both sides of her family. She leaves behind her husband Bill of 23 years, her daughter Rebecca V. Newell 25 and her son William V.R. Newell 11.

Melissa was my sister in law. When her and Bill first got married I talked to her fairly often and she was very sweet. She could always cheer you up when you were down and you could tell her something and she'd keep it secret if you asked her to. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and she has left a huge hole in her families heart. RIP Melissa you are in a far better place.

Melissa and I first met after our boys’ 2nd grade year-we were quick friends bonding over our silly boys. Melissa was a rare gem, she would frequently message me with a “Hey girl, how are you?” and no matter if it had been a couple days or weeks we would pick right back up where we had left off.
She was always quick to help, like in February when we lost power-she took my son overnight and offered my family shelter as well (Who knew it would snow and ice in Dallas?!)
Melissa was super sweet, in fact a few days before Mother’s Day she messaged me asking if my daughter liked Harry Potter- she had bought her a small gift just because she cared and that is who she was!
She was such an amazing person and even better friend than I could have ever imagined. I was blessed to have known her and forever grateful to be able to call her my friend.
I miss my 3am buddy, but I know she is in a better place and I will see her again. Until I see you again sweet friend

My dearest friend I will miss you terribly but I will never be without you for you are in my heart and I always will cherish our memories and conversations. Melissa was a amazing and incredible friend. we met through our sons who attended school together. Her and her husband Bill along with there son came over to mine and my wife’s house and we became friends instantly. I’m a very outspoken person and a lot of people find me hard to deal with and don’t like my extreme bluntness .. Missy didn’t mind it and she thought that was genuine and admired that in me even when she didn’t agree with me. She was supportive, caring and always listened to me and accepted me for me i never had to worry about a filter or anything with her … I love and miss you my quarter

Rest In Peace Melissa Newell!! You will be missed by so many people, whose lives you have touched. I will never forget you. You didn’t know me from atom. But you loaned me a large amount of money. You trusted me to pay you back. It took me a year but I paid you back. You watched my grandson Wyatt so that my daughter and I wouldn’t lose our jobs. Your heart was pure as gold.
You will greatly be missed.
