Melody was always very kind and sweet. She was always trying to help others and make people smile. One day I was crying because my dear friend had passed away and little Melody came over and asked, "Momma, why are you crying?" I replied, "Melody, a good friend of mine has died." She looked up at me with her beautiful blue eyes and said, "Momma, don't cry, Jesus takes care of everybody up in heaven." She smiled and said, "God is taking care of your friend." I smiled at her and said thanks honey. She replied, "Jesus loves everyone and will always care for us." I was very surprised by what my 2 year old said that day. Melody was a true gift from God. I know my baby girl is being cared for in heaven and I bet she is making people smile, just as she did during her time on Earth. Melody and her heart-warming smile will never be forgotten.
