His Life
January 10, 2014

Melvin L. Grubbs was a  good husband to my mother Hildegard M. Grubbs.  But I remember him most as my father to me, Henry Grubbs, as well as my brother, Peter M. Grubbs.  He brought us to the United States in 1961 and we adjusted as a family at White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico.  He taught me to read and write english, so I could excell in school.  He taught me many things throughout my life like fixing cars, building and working with dry wall--the list could go on and on.  Highly intelligent, he  crafted many things.  He actually built his own house on 80 acreas.

We live our lives and take so many things for granted.  Dad, I took you for granted.  I expected you to live a lot longer.  Now that you are gone I miss you.  You opened so many doors for me.  You've helped me so much.  You've taught me to stand on my own two feet and go forth in life.  I have so many things to thank you for.  I love you Dad and I know you are in heaven.

Your son,

Henry Grubbs
