I moved away in 1990. I went to Alaska with my sister and brother in law. thenI moved to Pennsylvania because I had met the mother of two wonderful children  Allie and Nathan. Deb and I together with Mat and Jamie decided to fly out to Oregon to surprise mom and dad for Christmas and what a surprise it was. That was the first time I saw my dad cry you were there a couple more times but you weren't there to tell you that Deb was pregnant with my first child Allie. I never got to tell you that. I hope you know that I'm sorry for messing up my life after the wedding I have needed to talk to you so many times. I love you Dad.

Grandpas cap

July 7, 2015

No matter how tired dad was, or how many hours he had worked or still had to work, he was NEVER to tired to let his granddaughters take his cap. Sometimes he would chase them and sometimes climb a tree to get it. He treasured every second with his family. So many wonderful memories of my dad!!!!  I love you dad!

Writing Poems

April 9, 2013

I have so many stories to tell of my dad.  He worked so hard, from sun up till sun down.  He worked 7 days a week, no vacations, no sick days.  He was never to tired for his family or friends.  He loved to write poetry and even had a few made into songs.  When my family had to move away from mom and dad, I would look forward to the mail, as my dad would always write poems and send me an envelope full of them.  He was my hero and always will be.  Rest in peace dad.  I love you.
