Some people are remembered, some are not! Merle is one of the remembered ones. Just this morning over coffee at Jeri's he was said to be the best vet in 5 counties. Another said he had a beautiful daughter recognized by her eyes (just like Merle's). Seen across the room during lunch in Wichita. I miss him also, he would have livened up our lives with his humor.

Four years ago.... time is passing so quickly. Cheyenne has become an adult and is thriving.... you would be proud! Still have memories pop into my mind of life's moments we shared. Rest in peace.

Many memories have crossed my mind since Merle passed away last year..... I sometimes think he has a better view of how fantastic his children are from where he is now ...than he probably did during his time here on Earth. He would be so proud of his son and two daughters and the special, quality people they each are. Mistakes are made in life, but Merle passed on his best attributes!

Today I have been thinking about you a lot. One of the funniest things that I can remember from our times together is when you were working on the tractor and I ran straight into it with the golf cart! I almost hit you and I'm sure you weren't too happy with me :) Miss you & you'll be in my heart forever. I've learned sooo many things from you, I'm strong because of you! Love you dad.

Merle was a classmate of mine in veterinary school. He was a genuinely good man, a fine veterinarians and just a nice guy. I haven't seen Merle in years but I have great memories of the years we shared. I know he will be missed,

I have many good memories of the time I spent with Merle. Every morning we'd wake up early, go do chores at the clinic, and eat breakfast with all the old men at the Ranch House. We had a lot of fun as a family, whether it was fishing, riding horses or jet skiing. He was a big part of my childhood that I'll never forget and I'll always be grateful to him for giving me Cheyenne.

To the father of my daughter: Thank you for the laughter and the tears... but most of all to helping create such a wonderful daughter. Cheyenne Lee Raida.... who brings forth the best of both of us! Hopefully others can find the time to offer memories of Merle to let Cheyenne know his humor, intelligence and personality. She has missed some of his best years, please share with her.

I remember many good things about Merle. I admired him in many ways, his intelligence, his sharp wit, ( I was never sure how he meant it), his love of animals, his border collie Murphy that knew tons of tricks. Mine can't do any ! The idea that he would help if I ever needed it. And the fact that some of his traits live on in my beautiful granddaughter, Cheyenne.
