A decade has passed yet you remain a part of my life, deeply embedded in my heart, cherished and missed ...... valued and grateful to have shared a very happy chapter of life with you. Michael Hoult .... thank you for making me laugh when I think of your magnanimous personality and dry wit, your enthusiasm that lives in your grandchildren’s souls, and your beautiful smile that never goes away. God bless you.

I will never forget you. We will always love you! You are irreplaceable! You have two grandchildren. A girl named Ella and a boy named Oliver Michael who are 2 and 2 weeks old and your life shall live on in them and in all of us who adore and hold you dear to our hearts! God bless you Michael and sweet dreams! XO XO Your smile, your genuine laugh, those big dark smiling eyes! But it is your voice that often fills my heart.

You are absent.
An empty space.
Yet you fill my soul.
You are silent,
But I hear you.
My voice does not touch you.
There is nothing.
There is always nothing.
Always, always, you recede through the space.
Until twilight interrupts your silence.
I journey blindly through the night,
Stumbling through a wooded path,
And chase your moonlit shadow.
Searching.
A familiar drifting fragrance,
climbs through my conscious mind.
A musky scent.
A broad, dark twig,
in a pine forest of whispering roots,
marks your bed.
And leads me to your secret place.
Hidden by the earth,
I imagine you lay there by the tree.
A grand, polished rock with your name.
Words carved in stillness.
Pictures and poems decorate your lair.
Messages in a bottle.
Treasures that whisper love.
Words that hang on.
Echoes of tears and laughter,
Sing gently through the trees.
A toast to the heart we left behind.
An awareness pours into a perpetual cup.
I remember you.
I must remember you.
You must never be forgotten.
A piece of sun that occupies my mind.
A morning smile.
I awaken.
You are missed!

Only you could make us feel
You’re with us every day,
Only you could make us feel,
Your love is here to stay.
A soul that shines so brightly
And fills our hearts with love
And in return please let us say,
You’re all we ever dream of.
Only you could make us smile
While our hearts feel so much pain,
You’re at our side, and in our hearts,
Together once again.

If tears could build a stairway,
and memories a lane, I’d walk
right up to heaven and bring you
home again.
