Michael Bruce Stewart, 79, a longtime resident of Rougemont passed away Monday, March 04, 2019 at his home.

He was born October 26, 1939 in Hazard, Kentucky to the late Otis Burchel Stewart and Sarah Daniels Stewart.  He proudly served his Country in the United States Army serving in the Korean Conflict. He was a retired supervisor at General Electric Telephone with forty-five years of service.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Friday, March 8th, 2019 in the Eakes Funeral Home Chapel in Oxford by Rev. Jim Jones.  Burial will be held at South Granville Memorial Gardens.

Surviving are his wife of fifty-four years, Judith McClung Stewart of the home; three daughters, Lisa Ann Hall (John) of Rougemont, Lesley Meichelle Patterson (Eddie) of Oxford, Lucinda Chance Lariviere (Travis) of Lynchburg, VA; a sister, Dana Lynn Maggard of Berea, Kentucky; two brothers, John Wayne Stewart of Muncie, Indiana, David Joe Stewart of Lancaster, Kentucky; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by a brother, Otis Glen Stewart.
