Mike was looking for a buddy.
We went to the animal shelter and seen like 6 different cats and kittens. Mike really didnt like any of them. Then the lady brought out a little white kitten with blue eyes they called cupid. Mike fell in love. So they said it was a girl, we found out it was a boy. Someone tried to fix him as if he was a girl then realized it was a boy. So, his new name Mike gave him was Holster, we found he was a Norwegian Macoon.  From the first day in his forever home that cat and Mike were inseperable, Mike would go to work Holster would sit at the door and meow until he realized Mike came back then he laid by the door waiting for him. When  Mike came home Holster would hear the keys down the hall and Mike would come through the door the cat was in and out of his feet, sit down take his boots off the cat was under the chair playing with boot strings and attacking his feet. That was his buddy. And now Holster is with 3 of the grandkids enjoying life to the fullest.

Mike and I loved to take drives, it didnt have to be a specific destination.
One Saturday we decided to go on a drive and ended up in St. Joseph,  MI.  We stopped at Stone Lake, spread out a blanket in the grass and laid down and talked about the future, retirement. We played cribbage(he beat me all 4 games)lol. We had a picnic lunch and then drove around the lake, stopped at a few shops.
The sun was just setting stopped at a pizza shop across from the lake. We sat and watched the sun go down over the lake, still talking and laughing then headed home.

I remember getting up one morning and Mike says, lets go on a mini trip. I was like where, he said I dont know lets just see where the road takes us-
So we are driving and we come across this pig farm, the sign has three pigs next to it so Mike says lets stop. We get out and Mike tries to climb on top of this 4ft high pig and in doing so he splits his shorts, he fell of the pig into a mud puddle,  i was laughing so hard until he pulled me in the mud with him.
The farmer let us hose ourselves down and we had lunch with him and his wife. Goodtimes
