Mr. Michael "Mike" David Thomas, age 72 of Pell City, Al passed away on Friday April 21, 2023 in Trussville, AL. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Orbin and Edith Faye Thomas, his brother, John Orbin Thomas Jr. and his daughter, Kellie Marie Thomas. He is survived by his sister Rhonda Drake, daughter Kayla Glasgow (Chase), a son Michael David Thomas Jr. (Rachel), two grandsons Chase Smoake (Kellie) Chace Thomas (Michael David Jr.) and a granddaughter Destiny Thomas (Michael David Jr.), his sister-in-law Paula (John), nieces, nephews, extended family and many close friends that became his family, as well as his brothers from the Homewood Fire Department, where Mike worked from 1978 until his retirement in 2008.

In honoring Mike's wishes, no formal funeral will be held, though his ashes will be scattered at the places that meant the most to him. A Celebration of Mike's Life is currently being planned
