This memorial website was created in memory of our loved one, Michael F. Spurlock, 23 years old, born on August 4, 1975, and passed away on February 7, 1999. We will remember him forever.

I can't believe it's been 20 yrs since you passed! I can remember you silliness! You always had us cracking up whenever we got together! Saddens me to not have you around but i know you are in a much better place! I made sure to tell my children about you, to keep your memories alive! I ask that you continue to watch over us down here! Just know i try my best to keep your mom (my best Auntie) involved in mile stones of your cousins (my children). I love you! Until we meet again!

Micheal I will always remember your smile and Twikle in your eyes. I was blessed to know you as a young bright boy who loved so easily. You wre a perfect Big brother to Dawn. We all will be together again soon. And Your Mother will not stop smiling and let go. It will be good to see you once again. You are missed here but we know your safe now. Love you Aunt Jan. XO

On February 7th 1999 at 7:04am my life changed forever. My beloved son Michael was killed in a drunk driving crash. Riding with his friend who was intoxicated Robert was traveling 118mph when he lost control of the car and crashed into a utility pole, trapping Michael in the vehicle.
Robert survived with minor injuries and Michael was gone all because of one stupid decision. Michael was my only child, he was my life.
It has been 12years and there is not one day I don't think of Michael. Kenny Chesney says it best with his song "Who you'd be today".
I want Michael to know his Mom is a Survivor, and I tell his story so that maybe iot will stop one person, from getting behind the wheel a car DRUNK, BUZZED, and drive. Impairment begins with the first drink, pill, snort, what ever. Michael did not have to die, this could have been prevented and till I join my son I will fight DRUNK DRIVING.
I Love you Michael and I will fight the fight, we always did when you were here I will continue RIP my darling son.
