LOVING MEMORIES OF A SPECIAL DAD  AT CHRISTMAS TIME 


A loving heart, a secret thought

a silent little tear

are all the things that keep you close

when christmas time is here


For you were someone special Dad

one of the very best

the pain and grief was hard to bear

when you were laid to rest


Our bond was sadly broken

and for now we are apart

but time, they say, can help to heal

this ever aching heart


Christmas thoughts are bitter sweet

yet lovely to recall

for Dad, it's at such special times

you're missed the most of all.                                   

We think about you OFTEN

and the happy times we had

and EVERYTIME we do we say a quiet thank you, DAD

because you did your BEST FOR US

in every single way

and you're MISSED more than ever

but especially today

and deep down, we will never heal

our HEARTS will grieve FOREVER

will time make us forget you?

Or stop loving you? - No, never

and yet, to be too sorrowful

would NOT BE FAIR TO YOU

because you'd hate to see us sad

and so unhappy, too

so just for you, we'll do our best

to SMILE as we recall

how fortunate we were to have

the BEST DAD of them all.
