47 Years ago today,I awoke feeling just a bit miserable,uncertain of facing another day of what had seemed a 10 month long pregnancy! Had a $20.00 bet with Don from a month before that baby would arrive in January,and here it was--the 31st--and no baby! After the supper dishes were finished,went to check on front walk snow removal efforts,and bingo--my water broke!A hasty trip to St.Joes,30 miles away,and  at 11; 52 P.M. Michael arrived,all 23",and 9# 4 ounces of healthy little boy # 5! Dons memorable comment,"You`ll do anything to win a bet !"     Happy Birthday in Heaven Mike, miss you more than you will ever know !
