Happy Birthday, Michael. Penny, Deb, Kevin and I had dinner at Ted Peters last Friday and noted that only 4 of us remain of the original 7. We are passing the baton to our wonderful children - Max, Sam, Brendan, Bruce, Brianne, Chelsea, Torre, Fred, Christina, Tania, Kristin, and Julia. We all did good and you can still rest well knowing they will make the world a better place. I love and miss you very much.

It's been three years and I miss our friendship. I hope that you've found peace and solace. I don't think I've ever enjoyed political discussions with anyone else so much as those we had together and I need one so desperately with you now. We'd find the answers to fix all of the problems.... 40 years... 40 years. Mike, you were my friend.

I love you, Michael, and think of you every single day. I miss you and I try to laugh every day in memory of you. I wish you would have stayed. You left such a large void.
