Mike was a wonderful friend to both myself and my husband Dan. We to this day share many fond memories to our friends of how of dear Mike was to us. We miss him a lot. He was truly a great man to many I am sure. So kind, loving and thoughtful.  Hard to believe it has been 11 years since we were honored with his presence.

Michael, What joy you brought to our lives! Thank you for being you--and for the love you gave us. We were truly blessed having you and your sister be our children. We thank your sister for setting up this memorial where we can come together and share photos and memories and for the technology that allows it. And last but not least, we are thankfull for all the sharing of thoughts and memories done by family and friends.
With grateful hearts,

Happy Birthday, Mike! Wow, today is your 60th birthday! You may not be here physically with us, but you are forever in our hearts. There have been so many times lately that I have wanted to pick up the phone, to give you a call. Especially to hear your voice again, to get your advice, to tell you how everyone is doing, to hear what you have been up to. Now that Grandma is with you, I like to picture the two of you spending time together out fishing or sitting around the table having a glass of wine and playing a game of marbles or cards, and hearing lots of laughter. Love you and miss you!

I have been thinking about you so much today on your 58th birthday. I wish I could call you to wish you a happy birthday, to hear your voice again, to just talk with you again. I like to picture you doing the things you loved to do, such as fishing. I love to picture you holding up that fish you have just caught with that big smile of yours. I love you and miss you so much! Happy Birthday Mike!

Mike, you were the first cousin born into the Sowers' family and the one who had the brightest smile, one that I will always remember. I enjoyed seeing you and Lorelei playing in the bands when I was so young; Lorelei throwing the baton and you in the band. I miss you so much. You made the sunshine light up the world!

Mike, I have been thinking of you so very much today, on your 57th Birthday.  I have been going through my pictures, and there are some that are so special to me, they help to keep you close in my heart.  They remind me how you could be a little prankster at times, and how you were always happy, the sparkle that would show in your eyes, and especially your smile. You were such a caring individual and brought so much joy to the people around you. We were all blessed to have you in our lives.

Happy Birthday Mike, I love you and miss you so much!

Treasured Memories
On your Birthday
Brother

I thought of you today
But that is nothing new
I thought about you yesterday
And will tomorrow too.

I think of you in silence
And make to outward show.
For what it meant to lose you
Only those who love you know.
Remember you is easy
I do it every day
Its just the heartache
Of losing you
That will never go away.

Our dearest son, Fifty seven years ago today you came into our lives and brought us endless joy all of your life. You were a blessing not only to us but also to family, friends, co-workers, patients, and acquaintances. We thank God for your empathy, wisdom and love.
Yes, we miss your physical presence, but this sense of gratefulness and blessing we feel for having you in our lives is overwhelming---and the joy overcomes the sadness.
Recently your grandmother, who you dearly loved, joined you and it was comforting to know that your loving and caring spirit would be with her.

Today is the 2nd anniversary of your passing, my friend. I feel sadness for the loss of you but also so much gratitude that many of us got the chance to share laughter, adventures and genuine friendship with you. Your light shown while you were here and it continues to shine in our hearts. Thank you, Mike. You will always be my friend with a twinkle in your eyes and a smile on your lips and a heart that shares so generously with others.

Merry Christmas, Mike!
I made your sour cream apple pie yesterday and loved it. I wish I had made it sooner so that I could have told you in person. I definitely plan on on making for Christmas from now on. I so much missed talking to you today. You are forever in my heart.

Wow...I am so sorry. I just learned today of Mike's passing. I haven't connected with him since 1975 when I graduated from high school...but I remember him well. He was a wonderful guy, funny, and really liked by all. I have today many memories that come rushing up that I haven't had in 38 years. I am so sorry for your loss...I wish I had known him all these past decades. - John Odean

I just learned of Mike's passing. He was the friendliest and most sincere guy I knew in High School. What an inspiring Drum Major. He made band fun. I'll miss him at the reunions. All my love.

I knew that Mike had been ill for some time, and just heard from Marilynne and Jerry of his passing. I knew Mike from Shalom UCC in Spokane where I attended for many years. Mike was a dear soul, a salt of the earth person. I am grateful to have known him, and the rest of the Mueller family. Grace and Peace.

Michael's passion for drum corp carried throughtout my younger years on to my daughter. I so enjoyed watching his talent on the field at competitions and the Lilac parade while growing up. My daughter became a drum major for the same reason as he did, for the shear joy it brings. Our thoughts and prayers to everyone who he touched so closely. The Kivett's

I was so fortunate to know Mike through church, high school and drum corps. A super-nice guy, with a smile and a word or two of encouragement. Mike knew no boundaries when it came sharing his enthusiasm and love for people and life. Peace to the Mueller family. With love, Tammy (Remund) Zimmer

Mike was so happy and brought so much light to us in drum corps. I have many fun, happy and fond memories of Mike. Always happy, and cheerful! A very good friend in those days. Losing Mike will definately reduce the amount of shining light on this earth. My prayers are with the family. God's peace and comfort be with you. Annie Bart Gaidos

I will always remember Mike's big smile and thinking "That's my neighbor" seeing him as the drum major in high school. All of the Muellers were the best of neighbors growing up on 19th in Spokane. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
