Michael Gene Lackmann, 49, passed away peacefully in his home in Vandalia, Ohio on June 1, 2023. He was born on July 8,1973 in Denver, Colorado to Carol Claudio and Daniel Lackmann. He moved to Troy, Ohio in 1999, at the age of 25, where he later married his wife, Jennifer. He worked many years at KFC and Clopay in Troy.

Mike was an avid bicyclist and enjoyed hiking and taking road trips. He loved animals and enjoyed watching wrestling, playing video games, and most of all, spending time with his family. 

Mike leaves behind his wife, Jennifer (Mote) Lackmann, 51, their son, Austin Lackmann, 21, and granddaughter Sophia Lackmann-Bass, 2. He was also survived by his mother, Carol (Petzel) Claudio, his brother, Jeffrey Banner, his sister Kathy Mcelvain, and four nephews. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents. Special thanks go out to his loving caregivers during his seven years of convalescence, Sheila and Nyyke.
