He graduated wood stock Job Corps and served in the Army of the United Composer of Music and Artist of Portraits and was self taught.

September 22, 2015 They are both survived by their 6 children Ernest R Hollis, Serena A Hollis, Eileen F Guilford, Michelle M Boozer, Niesha A Johnson, And Michael D Boozer Jr. His first Cousin & Best Friend Joconda Barnes, His 2 Nieces and daughters at heart, Lorice Rodgers and Leontyne Saab, 10 Grandchildren : Monica A Hollis, Jimmy Hill Jr., Antwan B Boozer, Tynia Johnson, Shanelle Hudson, Mary Guilford, Jane Guilford, Victoria Guilford, Shanelle Smothers, Selena Boozer. 5 Great Grand Children: Serena A Hollis II, Xavion P. Hollis, Hannah M Boozer, Corban A. Boozer, Neveah R. Boozer and a host of other relatives and Spiritual Family Members in Havre DeGrace MD. He is also Survived by his Spiritual Brother Pastor Mark.
