ForeverMissed
Dear Family and Friends,
It is with a broken heart, although one full of memories, that I share this "Celebration of Life" video with you to honor Michael. He left us over three months ago, I still struggle to believe it and to understand it. All that knew him know what a special, talented, kind, thoughtful, remarkable, wonderful and loving man he was. Life will never be the same without him. The world was a better place with him in it! My Dear Michael, I will love you forever.....Rick

Thank you so much for including us in Michaels life celebration. While we were watching video outdoors, a little bird peeked out of the bushes in front of us and hung out there for a bit. What a beautiful share of memories. Appears he led an uncommon Fantastic life and we know you were perfect for each other. Embrace the beauty, pain, love, peace and take comfort in knowing he will always be with you. Wish we had more time to know him better. The few times we were able to hang out with you guys, he was always so sweet & tender with a sparkle in his eyes that let you see into his soul. Loved his wit & humor and catching a glimpse of his devilish smile that made you wonder what he was thinking? Sending our deepest condolences and much Love to you, Rick... xoxo Sheri & Erik Moore

Rick, though I never met you I am sending you my heartfelt condolences. I met Michael at USC as a beginning dancer when he was already a champion dancer. As a member of my team that went to New York and won the national Latin Formation Championship, Michael was the anchor. I really admired him. After I turned pro I ran into him in Las Vegas several times and he was always as nice as ever. I hadn't seen him for many years when we reconnected on Facebook, It was lovely to see he was so happy. Such a talent, such a waste. Sending Love and Light

I was good friends with Michael, in the 70s, we hung out. Met him at USC
He and Randy were good friends and we hit it off right away.
Michael was dancing with Debbie Avalos at the time, and he was the gentlest soul. Ever! He and Debbie were very good friends. They danced beautifully together!
He embraced anyone he met with his genuine soul and big long arms!
Then I competed against him when he danced with Liz. We were in a competition against each other. We also competed with the USC team Together. A couple of years later We all began to wind down and choose different paths.
The last year we were at USC some newer members of the team went to england. Michael and I had stayed behind when a USC Armenian organization asked me to dance for them at an annual fundraiser.
I asked Michael. He agreed with pleasure and we partnered up.
Choreographed a beautiful Rumba together and we got a standing ovation!
FB was amazing. It brought us together
I’m so sorry he suffered so much from stupid trump and his stupid ideology. May they all rot in hell!
I will remember Michael with the fondest memories. His gentle voice, his soft spoken demeanor, and the gossips and giggles we shared
May the universe grant you patience..keep his memories alive for as long as you walk this earth. I certainly will
Thank you for including me in your celebrations of his life.
I really enjoyed the videos
Blessings your way

Michael, the hundreds of children that were fortunate to be in your orbit, are better adults because of you. I know that you were so proud of them, then and now. The times and miles we spent together, represent some of the best times of my life. I hope that you know the joy you continue to bring to our lives thru the telling and retelling of our stories about those days. I am almost 74 years old, and was suppose to go long before you dear friend. I will miss you for all of my days and are so very grateful that I was able to travel to see you and Rick married. Keep smiling that glorious smile to greet me someday.

Michael was a true ray of light. From his quiet, quick wit to his huge heart, you couldn't help but love him. And he will be loved by so many forever and always. Miss you.

Rick,
In light of what we know about our eternal destiny, is it any wonder that whenever we face the bitter endings of life, they seem unacceptable to us? There seems to be something inside of us that resists endings.
But what is taught is.. “Heavenly Father that in His plan there are no true endings, only everlasting beginnings.”
The spirit of Michael lives in all of us, he has touched so many of us.. and I promise you, whenever you want to talk to Michael, just ask anyone of us who knew him, and you’ll feel as though you were speaking with him directly.
Michael Hears You.. and he is always with you.

Always Believe..

Forever Love,
The Millers and The Kochons

Michael Rennie...I will always remember the day I met you. I was the little French intern who didn’t speak much English and you took me under your wings and let me enter your world. A world of incredible costumes, colorful beads, majestic feathers...You taught me so much. You redesigned my wedding dress, dressed me up in beautiful costumes and made me feel like a star. YOU were the Star in so many areas and for so many people. Christmas won’t be the same without you. The world won’t be the same without you but know that you fulfilled your mission and inspired so many of us. Make them dance up there. The sky will be sparkly and bright thanks to you. I love you and will miss you dearly but you will forever be in my heart. Until we see each other again one day my dear friend❤️

I worked with Michael for quite a few years at Farrington. He was always that person at work you KNEW you could go to when you needed to see a smile. He loved his work, and it showed in every single thing he fabricated for Imagination Costume. I would oftentimes leave my desk, to wander back into the shop, just to see what Michael was doing. His work on Palm Springs Follies was incredible. Michael gave so much glamour to that show! His backpacks were phenomenal. To this day, I use his technique to 'sparkle' silk florals before they are placed on costumes, something I used to love to watch him do.

Michael knew how to make a costume dazzle onstage. I always felt that "dazzle" was simply an extension of the man himself. Like all who have posted here previously, I too cannot believe he is gone. His light was SO BRIGHT here on earth, so I know it still burns as brightly in the ether!

RIP Michael Rennie. You impacted so many people, myself included, with your smile, your talent, your handsome, good looks, and your deliriously positive energy.

XO old friend.

Michael arrived like a ray of sunshine in a gloomy time in my life. I hated Las Vegas and I hated high school. Then my mom brought Michael home, and I could see
possibility again. Everything about him felt exotic to me, and I saw a model for how to live that I hadn't seen before. For a lonely girl from Wyoming to be friends with a man who danced and costumed and who was fun and hilarious and caring and professional--well, it was something spectacular for me. His personality, his words, actions, creativity imprinted on me deeply, and his absence from the world makes me so sad.

Michael, We are all so very sad you had to leave so soon. I am so very happy that you were able to have all your hopes and dreams come true. I know having to leave Rick wasn't a pain you wanted him to endure. Thank you for visiting Taylor so Rick could have the comfort of knowing you are okay.

You were my closest friend for 25 years. We laughed a lot, we cried at times, we argued as close & equally as stubborn friends will do, we shared a lot of "I told you so!" in our laughter, our learning, our teaching. We were friends but also some of those years we worked together. You are the most amazing costume engineer ever! A BRILLIANT ENGINEER!!!

I was blessed to be taught so much by you...and you were constantly challenged by me with the..... "But why? I want to do it like this!"
You were patient and kind in response and in the end....usually with that adorable grin and twinkle in your eye....with a response of "See, now if you had just done it as I said..."

I smile at the many memories of 25 years!!!

I know you are okay where your journey has taken you. I speak aloud to you often, sharing my thoughts on things I would have called you about.

Sometimes I forget and grab my phone...only to be hit with the sad and still shocking realization you are not at that phone number anymore.

The pain lingers until I think of all the wonderful things you are experiencing as you reunite with loved ones and make ready for the time when the rest of us meet up with you again.

Michael, You are forever loved!
