Michael Rooney, 70, of Forks Township, PA passed away Sunday, February 10, 2013 in Easton Hospital.

Born: He was born, June 26, 1942 in North Arlington, NJ. He was the son of the late Marguerite and Joseph Bernard Rooney. In addition, he was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters.

Personal: He graduated from Queen of Peace High School in North Arlington, NJ. He served 4 years in the U.S. Air Force. His education continued at the University of Montana and Rutgers University. He retired from McGinley Mills and most recently was employed with the Express-Times. He was an avid football fan and loved the New York Giants.

Memberships: American Legion, Catholic Church

Survivors: His wife, Cathleen St. Jacques Rooney, his daughter Susan Fairchild and her husband, Chris of Easton,  2 sons, Michael Rooney and his wife Francesca of Easton and Kevin Rooney and his fiancé, Marbel of Bethlehem, seven grandchildren; Owen, Oliver and Ruby Fairchild, Christopher and Genevieve Rooney, and Cameron and Adrian., and a brother, Thomas Patton Rooney of Sarasota, Florida.

Services: A mass of Christian Burial will be held, Friday, February 15th at 1pm at St. Bernards Catholic Church.
