Our Dad was born a few weeks after The great Michael Collins was murdered by his ffellow country men during the civil war. My Dad was one of 14 children. He started his career in Guinness in 1936;first as a messenger boy, progressed to driving steam trains, eventually driving lorries. He lived in Buckingham street in Dublin city. Married our mother in May 24th 1948 Lena Masterson from North Strand Road, they reared 8 kids in Corrib Road Terenure. Our mother passed away early aged 57 in 2nd April 1979. Dad passed last October 20th 2013.
