my paps life story.....

The story begins on 13 january 1940,just after the start of WW11 when Alan was born in tamside to mother Eunice and father John...Alan was brought up in dukinfield and attended crescent road boys school..where he won many prizes for his woodwork skills...He also attended Dukinfield old chapel sunday school .... Alan didnt meet his dad until the age of 7..It happened when a soldier with a rifle on his back walked up his garden path...He asked his mother who the man was she explained it was his dad who just returned from active war service in Burma.....Alan loved his job as an engineer..which he was devoted to..and spent many hours talking about it to his family...He was professional and perfectionist...He spent time training up his apprentices but would often get frustrated if their level of workmanship failed to come up to his very high standards...Paps would always fight for his rights and those of his work colleagues...He was a firm believer in ensuring everyone had good working conditions and adequate pay...He had a fighting spirit which he passed down to his children...On 4 april 1964 paps married my mum at hyde registry office and honeymooned in blackpool...Alan had four children ..Anthony ...David..Deborah and Michelle..His family was all that mattered to him and  he particularly cherished the parties he shared with them...Alan was proud of everything his children achieved and always there to provide them with help and advice..When paps grandchildren were born it completed his family and he used to say with a smile on his face...there nothing prounder than pushing ypur baby around....On 15 february 1966 Alans older brother,John tragically died aged only 35...On 18 december 1989 Alan said goodbye to his mother she died at the age of 82...and on 20 december 2000 he siad farewell to his father age 92...On 28th july 2007 Alan son,David tragically died aged only 40 ..the loss of our david left a big hole in paps heart...He found it difficult to talk about..He found the situation extremely hard to deal with..However,he thought about David everyday and missed him more than words can ever say....Paps loved life...He had a unique sense of humour and an ability to make people laugh..He was young at heart and kept his mischief in his head...paps famous advice to all everyone who new him,was BE LUCKY.........Dear papa .....if hope and courage could of saved you....you would be here with us today.....Your courage fought your fear...You had no weakness....just a will of hardened steel....Nobody truly knew how you suffered papa...You were always a proud man...you defied the odds and enjoyed a remarkable good health for longer then expected....You may have been robbed of life.....but you died surrounded by those you loved and who loved you in return....The times we had were so precious and pricelesss....they will stay with us forever.....We:re glad your chapter ended knowing how mich we loved you and wanted you....You had a young sense of humour and a unique character even at the end you still had that cheeky sense of humour...You were ready to go and god lstened....You died with hope in your heart..You died surrounded in love....Let me say if i can,One final thing to my papa....we are going to miss you...farewell for now.....
