I truly enjoy the pictures for this tribute. Yes, it was a spring day like this when we viewed the Monet exhibit at MOMA to celebrate his birthday! He was wonderful to museum with as a verb.

I am glad that a classical guitar piece plays for this web site. Michl was too shy to talk about playing guitar publicly, but play he did. His favorite guitar piece was a tune written by Leonardo DaVinci. i remember the the first time he came over for dinner and he brought his oil portrait of a tucan. Yes, friend is the right word for Michl. He told me my hair was not turning gray - it was platinum. We used to do New York art galleries together. For his birthday one year we saw the Monet exhibit at MOMA. The first time I asked if I could play chess in the group at Port Chester he asked if I wanted to play for money. I am so sorry that he is not still in Port Chester.

Michl & I lived in the same building. At times we'd meet at the mailbox & ride the elevator together after work. Though it was a short ride to the 4th flr, he aways had something fun to say or asking questions "what's for dinner"; "who are you voting for"; "see any good movies lately", "you've never met my cat?". I was shocked & so sad to hear of his passing. He will be missed. Condolences

It may sound hackneyed, but Michl was without doubt the heart and soul of the chess group that met weekly at the Port Chester public library. He was always the first to invite a curious onlooker to play a game, which is how we first met some years ago. Michl played chess optimistically and with great flair, which is how I suspect he lived the rest of his life as well. He will be missed.

Michl I will miss you buddy. He was such a great person with a good heart! Some of his jokes were cheesey, but they still made you laugh. Thanks for re-freshing all of my chess skills and teaching me new ones. Gone but not forgotten, may you rest in peace.

Mike and i have worked closely for about 5 years. He had taught me all that i know in chess. Even to the point where he told me Javi listen here is one rule, "you should never beat the teacher". Mike was a great man with always the best intensions. He was full of jokes and enjoyed everything about life. Mike will be missed dearly but with this page his memory will live on forever.God bless

Mikes love for EVERYTHING made him this an absoltue pleasure to be around. His spirit could lift anyone up even in their darkest times. Whether it be sharing a beer, playing a game of pool or wolfing down a Sam's burger, I could not have asked for better company. I am truly honored to have known him.

My wife Miho and I met Michl at Jude's house 2 years ago. Michl was an interesting, intelligent and a caring person. I remember talking about how young he looked and we are shocked to hear about his sudden passing. We pray to God to give his soul eternal rest and our heartfelt condolences.

Michl was one of the most funniest person I knew. This is because everytime he would come over to our house, he would tell me a new joke.

We now have Michl's cat and his name is Jack. Michl wanted us to make our own song, but we never finished it. He taught us a lot of jokes. I really like the two fingers in the eye trick. Quinn

What a shock to hear that Mich'l is not here anymore. I will remember everytime you called to speak to "Pete" you had to tell me a joke first. Thank you for your kindness; may you find comfort and peace amongst the angels.

Peter, and Family:   Thank you my Brother from another Mother. You and your family have been a great wealth of information to me and my Family, words can not give You the proper thanks,  So i say to You, Thanks again, for being our go to guy.

   Love you Bro, Tim

Thanks To You All

October 1, 2012

Thanks to you all, for sharing your stories of my Beloved Brother.

Michael, known to you all as Michl ,  He as I remember him, use to always give me the BLUES in capital letters, but there was strong Love betweeen us, not just myself, but all of the Twitty family. Michl, was not a big Family get together type person, but more of a quiet intimate socializing type. Strange boy,I use to say.
Michl, when we got older, we got really close. Michl would invite my Nephew Derrell, and myself to visit him at Willmington College, here in Ohio. We would catch the Greyhound bus there, with thoughts of getting messed up, and hanging out with my older Brother. He always showed us a good time, could'nt wait till the next time we would get to enjoy each others company. It has been almost 17 years ago to the date of his passing that the last time our paths crossed. With the sincer Friendship of his Endeared Friend Peter,,,,, Jude, we were reunited,Octoberfest weekend. That day, was the 21st of September, 2012, a day that will live in in my heart forever, because he passed from this life on the 20th date,2012, almost the last day that we the family saw him. I, and the family are really upset that we were not part of our Brothers life, not because of us, but Michl's choice. There was nothing we could do. He chose to live his life without Us,,,,,,,,,But, the Good from this is,he touched your lives, which I am sure you all touched his. I could go on to tell funny stories about our Boither, but I will save them till I hope one day we will all meet in his name.....Michl,Michl, Michl,,,,Our Loved One.

Thank you all, Love, Tim his youngest Brother, and family.God Bless all .

CURRY CHICKEN

September 27, 2012

Mike, always asked if my Wife cooks Curry Chicken and wanted to taste authentic Curry Chicken.  We did not dissapoint him.  He enjoyed his Curry Chicken so much I had to hide my own from him that day.

But there was a certain kind of compulsion that made you want to share with someone like Mike.  His soul was pure, he always said hello, with the biggest smile he could offer.

Mike was one of the few persons that you come across in life, that even when they are not around, their impression stays with you forever.

You will be missed, but never forgotten.
