Hey, Papa. I saw the new James Bond flick the other day. Reminded me of you and our movie marathons. Not a day goes by that I don't think of you and your great laugh and sense of humor. You'll always be my Papa Mike, even though you would joke and say 'Call me Uncle," every once in a while. A truly great man will be missed forever in my heart. I love you, Papa.

Mikey - I know you will enjoy the photo of Dorie and Emma that I posted on your site. Emma was in love with Dorie from the start. I think maybe you were reborn back into our hood to be close to Dorie.

Dorie - I am so very glad that I had the pleasure of meeting Mike during the reunion several years ago. He was such a big personality and you two were the cutest couple; madly in love. I am so terribly sorry for your loss - may God grant you peace and comfort when this world has none to give.

Those we love don't go away,
They walk beside us every day,
Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear.

Mike I'll miss you dearly. Dorie you know I love you much!

Dorie, What a beautiful tribute to such a 'Gentle Giant'. Words that pop up when I think of you and Mike are: team mates, soul mates, dog lovers, great cooks, apple martinis, loads of fun, uncontrollable laughter, good friends, great neighbors and salt of the earth humans. So glad I got to experience a tiny slice of Webster Dr. Many hugs from Indiana

Dammit! I told Dano not to take Mike to the hardware store with him!
God knows where they have gone to and when/if they will ever be
back but I certainly hope they are having fun!!! Once again a 20min trip turned into a lifetime. Carry on I know you will!! It is what Mike would have wanted........

I met Mike years ago when we worked together and I knew right away that he was a good guy. That was by far the best way I could describe him. Mike was my designer and one of the dearest friends. I will miss him every day and pray for Dorie to find strengh. My heart hurts that Mike is gone...but I am so thankful I knew him!

You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday, Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday. You can remember him-only that he is gone, Or you can cherish his memory and let it live on, You can cry and & close your mind, be empty & turn your back, Or you can do what he would want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.

You can shed a tear that he is gone, Or you can smile because he lived. You can close your eyes, praying that he will come back, Or you can open your eyes and just see that he has left. Your heart can be empty because you can't see him, Or your heart can be full of the love you shared.

Since I did not have enough room to write more. I wanted to say thank you for being you. I remember talking to you when I was going through the tough parts of my high school years and everytime I came to my my dads office you always made me laugh and smile.

Chief,
It’s been a pleasure be your friend for the last 15 years, work with you, share stories and a cocktail or two. Your design work will be missed by all those you have touched and helped lead to their success. Words can’t describe what a loss I feel but somehow comforted by the time we’ve known each other. To all the times you’ve helped me through, thank you my friend. God speed.
