Years have passed but you still linger in my thoughts. You were one of a kind and I will forever hold you close. A brother, a counselor and a friend at all times. I still think it’s a dream, that I’ll wake up one day and meet with you smiling like you always did. Gone too soon is a thought haunting the minds of many, but with peace in our hearts, we know that you did all you could to spread love among family and friends. So many call you brother, father and son though you weren’t’ related by blood. Your caring nature made you a gentleman of honor, integrity and merit. It was always easy to speak to you because you were so warm and welcoming. I miss you Mike “Smart” Githaiga… Till we meet again, till we meet again... Rest in peace…

Mike, your smile was your signature. Listening to all, that you accomplished in those few years I am challenged . From your FB page God was preparing you departure from Aug 2013. We will not murmur IN YOUR WORDS He Leadeth me,blessed Lord whatever I do wherever I go the Lord's hand leadeth me. By his own hand he leadeth me,his faithful follower I would be,for by his hand he leadeth me. Sometimes amidst the deepest gloom, where the world troubles ware me out,the Lord stills the waters in the troubled seas. Still his Hand leadeth me. Lord I do place my hand in thy hands, never to murmur content with the Lord's doing. Since it is my God who leadeth me And when my task on earth is done, when by the grace the victory's won. When death cold wave I will not flee, through the Valley of death he Leadeth me RIP

Farewell thee friend and small brother, your humbleness, kindness and intellect will continue to inspire us . Though you have left us so soon, we will always cherish the memories especially your voluntary input towards Ev-online counselling on psychology research; your insight and support was phenomenal. RIP Mike Githaiga.

Even when I left SU we still kept in touch because you were not only a colleague but a good friend. your determination to spread the gospel to all was evident. In every place you went, your presence brought happiness and live, that was you Mike. Am sure God needed the same warmth of happiness in heaven and decided you were the right person to take it there. am still in pain and mourning but i'll mourn as one with a hope. hope that you are in a better place, hope that i will see you again. Rest in peace my dear friend

To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. You have left a big empty space in our hearts. But God knows best. Will dearly miss you, until we meet again my Friend. Fare thee well.

I last saw Mike on 23rd April during the Scripture Union AGM and his freshness and radiance was infectious. To all those who are deeply touched by his unfortunate passing on, I pray that the peace of Phil 4:7 keeps your hearts and minds. Till we meet again, RIP valiant soldier.

Am speechless and still in shock.I was with you in school last week I still remember your smile and warm heart when we met. Remember when we would run from Hurligham because our offices neighbored each other to catch up with classes at Thika road, this are moments I will hold onto, the fun, laughter and treasured class times are valued. When I did not like my performance in an exam you offered me a make up. and ensured that I passed. You always said life is not too serious and that we can all make it. Your zeal, humor and passion for service is beyond measure. I will dearly miss you RIP.

I am truly saddened by this. Mike was my teacher at PAC University. We actually had a class last week on Wednesday and he asked me to pray for the class After our lesson. Little did we know that it was his last day with us. We are devastated. Why now. I Still can't believe it. May his humble soul RIP.
