School

March 6, 2021
September 1998, De La Salle Churchtown and its the first day of secondary school. I arrive and its 600+ lads buzzing around the yard catching up after the summer. We as first years, lost amongst the madness, began getting to know each other while sizing each other up! Then I spot you, the bright spark who didn't wear his uniform to school because it was the first day, big blonde head on you. Who is this lad?! "What are they going to do, expel me?" Misha wore the brightest Nike tracksuit I had ever seen. The photos do exist and I'm on the case.

"CUT YOOOUR HAIR" in a flat Dublin accent is something I used to roar at Misha until we were 15 and he let me do it. lol.

Somehow I was in the same Maths class as him and we had this old school teacher called POS who wore the batman cape and all that craic.
He loved to ask us all, "What is your function?" and "And how did you come to that answer?" He loved a good challenge and Misha would always put it to him. One day, Misha's answer was "I used my own formula, (obviously) ". I'm pretty sure he was right but then again I ended up in pass maths and you, MIT.

The best days on lunch down the back of the school, eating wedge rolls, smoking cigarettes, talking shit.

You were the smartest guy in the room (sorry Joe Swan), and you came with our other fallen friend who I miss dearly, RIP Eoin O'Shea.

Sleep well boys.

IAIDO in Tokyo part 2

IAIDO in Tokyo

March 5, 2021
Remember when I visited you in Tokyo in 2018? You spent time with me every day and always tried to come up with something fun to do.. one day you took me to this Japanese sward experience. We were giggling most of the time and taking videos of each other... remember that Ninja person came out, and you were so impressed! And of course, by the end of the class, we both successfully used focus and force to cut those wood in half!! :)..

Best birthday ever I

March 6, 2021
He made me this one year for my birthday and I watched him just hammer the nail into the plank of wood. I said “what the fuck is this supposed to be like?” He said “that doesn’t matter. I spent time making it for you, therefore it’s sentimental, and if you throw it out you’re a shit person. Happy birthday.” I still have it to this very day.

I will never forget the feeling of guilt he made me feel for actually wanting to fuck it straight in the bin.

I love you so much. I always will

LTJ Bukem, you were a bit of a fan no ;P

March 5, 2021
Ha Misha I can still remember the exact time and place. You, O'Shea and myself sitting in the attic...then you go and put the BBC radio 1 mix on. You were blown away, I could see how much you loved ol' LTJ. One memory I will always treasure. I've been a massive fan ever since.... thanks again for putting me on to such amazing music :) Enjoy Mish, get your wobble on !!

Immerse your soul in love

March 5, 2021
It's so unfortunate that you don't get to experience all these wonderful photos and tributes. I'll always remember you from undergrad with this street spirit quote, chuckling at you sticking your coffee cup in the projector when we were all bored with content, and the time we managed to snag free tickets to see RATM. In the years after we all graduated and dispersed, I remember we'd usually catch up on your birthday, which I'll never forget since it's the same as sisters, and I'll always be thankful that at least in the last few months with this pandemic we all took advantage to chat a bit more frequently on WhatsApp.
RIP Mikhail. Rest assured your soul is truly immersed in love.

A giant bear with a tender heart

March 5, 2021
I will always remember how you hold a bottle of green tea with cute cartoon bottle cover through all kinds of serious meetings. You are such a giant bear with such a tender heart. Regretted that I didn't talk to you more when we worked together. We don't even have a photo together.

Hope you finally found your peace, Mikhail.

Last dance...

March 4, 2021
When we first met, we've discovered our common passion for electronic music. It was surprising to discover that Jeff Mills got us both into DJing... Here I wanted to share a piece for one last dance for your never-ending journey: "Lorn - Acid Rain". Have a good trip, Misha.
