ForeverMissed

This memorial website was created in memory of our loved one, Mildred Campbell, 87 years old, born on May 15, 1934, and passed away on June 13, 2021.

She was a beloved Mother, Grandmother, and Friend.
Mildred was small in stature but big of heart, will, and personality. Equipped with colorful outfits, tap shoes, a dance floor, and a good country tune, Mildred could become the star of the show. Her love and passion for life was easily felt as well as seen. She was also a force to be reckoned with, being a fast talker armed with a quick wit!

We wish to let her know that she will always be missed, remembered, and most of all loved.

Mildred is survived by her Son Roger Campbell, and Daughter Buffy Campbell.
Should anyone like to pay their respects, feel free to leave a note on this open forum that celebrates Mildred's life, and/or pay a visit to her memorial site. She was laid to rest at the following location:
Rest Haven Memorial Park

Granny was a diva, and so am I! I have a lot or qualities from her aside from her exact body, she always liked to buy the most fashionable things and to look a certain way and try the best and new hair products and face creams … so I know I get that from her. We talked about these things every encounter. I wish I was as strong and as brave as she was, but I will try to be. She loved to make videos and I love to take pictures. I always enjoyed our phone calls, I used to think she talked so fast! But after awhile I got used to it and now many people say I talk fast. I’ll never forget her smile and her voice, my favorite is hearing her say bye bye I love you, alright I’m gonna hang up now, bye bye i love you, her accent and voice with those words will always warm my heart.

My Mother all thru out life no matter what come along to deal with . she always meet it head on , toughen up, stand strong , and push on thru it leaning forward all the way,
She was always there for me no matter what i was going thru , she stuck by me throughout life every inch of the way ,
she's the toughest woman I've ever known ,
she's a very unique and very special person ,
she's the kind of person you rarely come across in life ,
she taught me many things in my life, she taught me "about life", southern home cooking , playing music ,and so very much more ,
she's many things to me a great mother, teacher, friend , and a source of strength .
as well she has many other talents , she can play any instrument you put in her hand , singing, dancing , and do it all very well .
even though i tried all my life to repay her for all she done for me i could never hope to repay her for all she done .
there wont be a day go by that i wont think about her ,
i wont ever stop missing her ,
there's a piece of me missing , my life wont ever be the same .
i could talk all day and still not get it all said ,
I've loved her dearly all my life , still do , and always will .

Millie, mom as I knew her, growing up with Roger and Buffy and Dusty, you said yes Ma'am and no Ma'am and she respected you as well. always trying to get people to laugh, give the shirt off her back, and lend a hand when needed. Millie always tried to keep us on the right path, and I loved her Southern draw when speaking. Mom (Millie) will be missed, but I am sure we will see one another in Heaven! Love you always, just one of your adopted children, Ron Klinesmith.

Millie was the grandmother of my 3 children. I have known her since I was 14 yrs old. She taught me how to cook because I didn’t know anything lol. I couldn’t even boil eggs. She was a scrappy lady and never mess with one of her own or there would be hell to pay. I was glad I was one of her own. I loved her dearly.

Tapping Shoes!

June 23, 2021
Mildred was my Granny, and I remember that she was very into singing and dancing. For Christmas one year I remember she got me these tap shoes, hoping that we could share her love of performing. I really did love those patent black tapping shoes and wore them around just to hear them click! She had a large piece of wood on her floor in her home, that was used to tap and dance on like a dance floor. Her own personal stage to command!

I never did take lessons or learn how to do it properly but that is something that I look back on and smile about.
Ill miss you Granny, but I know you're at peace, dancing along to Patsy and Loretta.
