Mildred Jones Allen, 106, passed away Monday July 10, 2017 at her home in Granville County.

A native of Granville County, she was the daughter of the late George Henry and Emma Mangum Jones. She was the last survivor of seventeen children. Mildred was the oldest member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Creedmoor, N.C. She worked in retail for years and also worked at many Movie Theatres in Durham.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, July 13, 2017 at 3:00 P.M. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church by Dr. Marc Tilley. Burial will be in Creedmoor Cemetery.

Surviving are many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton Allen; a son, Billy Allen and sixteen brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be held prior to the service at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church from 1:30 – 2:45 P.M. Thursday, July 13, 2017.
