She was born in Tallapoosa County, Alabama July 26, 1925 to the late Obie Dean and the late Mittis Thomas Dean, she was a member of the First United Methodist Church of LaFayette, and retired from McClendon Trucking Company also of LaFayette.

Survivors are her 2 children Ramona (Roger) Hood of Lanett, Al., Sandy (Jerrie) Martin of Nashville, Tn., 4 grandchildren  7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Morris Martin.
