Mildred Register Daniel, age 84, of 804 Fairway Drive, Oxford, NC, passed away peacefully at UNC Memorial Hospital March 30, 2013.  Mrs. Daniel was born May 8, 1928 to Clyde Carl Register and Lessie Roberson Register of Henderson.  She retired in 1995 from Daniel’s Army Surplus of Butner.  Mrs. Daniel is survived by her three children, Kathryn Daniel Bradley of Oxford, James P. Daniel, Jr. and wife Pam of Butner, Jeffery M. Daniel and wife, Vicki of Apex; four grandchildren, Jason G. Wood (Kimberly) of Raleigh, Chip Bradley (Catherine) of Apex, Philip Daniel (Natalie) of Butner and Susan Haste (William) of Rocky Point; one great grandchild, James Lucas Daniel and step-great grandchild, Victoria Parsons, of Boone.  Also surviving are sisters, Margaret R. Beck and Joyce R. Ashcraft of Greenville, South Carolina; brother, Thomas E. Register and wife, Anne, of Pinehurst; and special companion, Paul Beck.

Visitation will be held from 12:30-1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 2 at Eakes Funeral Home, Clement Avenue, Oxford.  A graveside service follows at 2:00 p.m. at Elmwood Cemetery in Oxford.  Flowers are acceptable or memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
